Information About our Flower Delivery Services

Our Delivery Policy

All of our flowers and gifts are delivered personally in Vancouver and its surrounding suburbs, or by one of our affiliate florists across Canada. At Nature's Wonders Florist, we make every effort to ensure that your order is delivered when desired, and to your specifications. Please be sure to enter all specific requests and delivery information in the "Delivery Notes" field. We will do our best to honour your wishes. Delivery Area

We personally deliver flowers and other gifts from our retail shop to locations in and around Vancouver, including Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, Langley, North Vancouver, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, Richmond, Surrey, West Vancouver and White Rock. In addition, the products we offer on this website are also available for delivery in Canada and the US through our network of affiliated FTD florists.

For delivery to outside of North America, the products available are different from those seen on this website. Please view our page on International Delivery where you can learn about how to order flowers and other gifts to a variety of countries around the world. Please allow two business days for delivery internationally, however, excluding Sundays and legal holidays.

Same Day Delivery

All of our floral products can be delivered the same day if the order is placed before 11am in the recipient's time zone, Monday through Saturday. Orders received after those times will be delivered the following day.

Sunday and Statutory Holidays

We deliver on both Sundays and Statutory Holidays to locations in and around Vancouver, including Burnaby, Coquitlam, Delta, Langley, North Vancouver, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam, Richmond, Surrey, West Vancouver and White Rock. The only day we are closed is Christmas Day.

For locations outside the Lower Mainland, Sunday and Statutory Holiday delivery is possible in many areas, although we cannot guarantee this on every order. Flower shops are just simply not open in some areas on these days. While we will make every effort to accommodate your requests, if service is unavailable, order placed early enough, will typically be delivered either Saturday or one day before the Holiday. For orders made on the Sunday or Holiday itself, the product will be delivered the next business day. Specific Time Requests

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept specific time requests such as, "Please deliver at 1pm.” However, you can certainly request a delivery to occur in the morning, afternoon or in a two hour time frame such as between 1pm and 3pm. For same day delivery, orders must be placed by 1pm in the recipient's time zone to request delivery before 5 PM, recipient's time zone. To make these delivery requests, please be sure to enter it in the "Delivery Notes" field located underneath the recipient's information on our checkout form. We will do our best to meet your expectations.

During peak periods and floral holidays such as Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas, we are unable to accept any specific time requests other than for a morning or afternoon delivery. We also request that you place your order a minimum of two days before the actual delivery date so that we can organize the delivery accordingly.

Delivery to Apartments

It is our policy to contact recipients by phone who live in apartment buildings, condominiums or gated communities to establish what time they will be home to receive the delivery and what is needed to enter the building or area. This is a necessary step taken to ensure a successful delivery on the date requested. The only exceptions are for buildings with a concierge, reception desk or town homes where the gift can be left with a neighbour or on the doorstep.

Delivery to Hospitals

We are very experienced in making deliveries to hospitals and nursing homes. When placing your order, try to include all information that you may have about the recipient, the hospital name, phone number and room number.

We will deliver your gift in accordance with the procedures of the designated facility and please keep in mind that many hospitals will not allow for personal delivery to a patient's room. In these situations, the delivery will be made to the reception desk or nursing station.

Recipient Not Home

If you have included special instructions for delivery, please take into account what you would like to happen if the intended recipient is not home when the gift is being delivered. In most cases, if the recipient is not at home the local florist will:

  • Call the recipient to schedule an appropriate delivery time
  • Leave a note on their door asking them to contact the florist concerning the delivery
  • Leave the arrangement in a secured and covered area near the front door, like a porch, garage or other accessible entrance
  • Leave the gift with a neighbour and leave a note for the recipient advising this action

Substitutions

There will be times when flowers or containers ordered will not be available for our use. During these times, we will make every effort to substitute an appropriate replacement that meets the same levels of quality and value as the original, as well as maintaining the standards of style, theme, and color schemes as the original order. We will only substitute items of equal or greater value as the original. For more detailed information, please refer to our Substitution Policy

Extreme Weather and Inaccessible Locations

There will be times when delivery dates and times will not be met due to circumstances beyond our control. Sometimes, extreme weather may make it impossible for your gift to be delivered as you wished. If your gift cannot be delivered due to weather conditions, inaccessibility to the delivery site, special order considerations and delays, or for any other reason, we will make every attempt to contact the sender and/or the recipient concerning the delay.

Unless you tell us otherwise, in all situations where we are unable to deliver your gift on time, in the method you specified, we will reschedule delivery for the next available delivery date and time. We will also include a personally penned apology note with your order explaining what caused the delivery to be delayed.
